CASPER, Wyo. – The Casper Metropolis Council is scheduled to approve a storm sewer enchancment contract within the A Avenue parking zone by decision, in accordance with the agenda for its common assembly right now.

The council will meet at its non permanent quarters at The Lyric, 230 W. Yellowstone Freeway, at 6 p.m

In recent times, the town realized of an area flooding downside west and north of Casper Hearth Division Station No. 1 at 200 W. 1st St., in accordance with a memo from three metropolis workers to Metropolis Supervisor Carter Napier.

“The undersized storm sewer system leads to periodic flooding of business garages and creates winter ice layers within the alley and CFD parking zone,” the memo states.

The undertaking contains substitute of those storm sewers and catch basins, a 100-foot growth of the prevailing sewer, and floor drainage enhancements.

5 corporations submitted bids and Crown Building of Mills awarded the contract for $81,295.

The opposite corporations have been 71 Building of Casper with a bid of $92,832, Ramshorn Building of Casper with a bid of $97,375, Wayne Coleman Building of Mills with a bid of $102,307 and Knife River of Casper with a bid of $116,230.

Along with Crown Building’s base bid of $81,295, the memo to Napier mentioned the council also needs to approve a building contingency account of $3,705 for a complete of $85,000.

The town can pay for the sewer enhancements with $55,800 from Non-obligatory One Cent Roads No. 17 funds initially budgeted for the undertaking. The extra $29,200 would come from optionally available one-cent funds initially earmarked for the Bryan Evansville Highway Enhancements Challenge.

Building is scheduled to be accomplished by April nineteenth.
